Recurrent first trimester pregnancy loss (also know as recurrent miscarriage or habitual abortion) refers to the loss of three or more pregnancies before 12 weeks of pregnancy. Because the risk of another miscarriage is almost the same after 2 or 3 miscarriages, we begin evaluation and treatment at Princeton IVF after only two losses. Recurrent pregnancy loss can be one of the most stressful problems a couple can endure, even more so than infertility. The good news is that most couples with recurrent losses will be able to deliver a child. At Princeton IVF, we offer evaluation and treatment for couples suffering from recurrent losses. |
