What is IVF? |

IVF, properly known as in vitro fertilization is a procedure in which the female partner's eggs are mixed with the male partner's sperm in the laboratory. Some of the embryos that result are placed into the womb of the female partner hoping that a pregnancy will result. Most couples with infertility will not need IVF to have a baby.
